Sleepy Hollow

“Sleepy Hollow” is a unique and innovative immersive experience that combines immersive theater and virtual reality (VR) to create a one-of-a-kind murder mystery experience. The project is a collaboration between Studio VRij and Studio Immersief, and takes place in a Dutch settlement in the state of New York in 1790. The production is made possible by Cultuurloket DigiTALL and the Amertefonds, and will have a try-out period to showcase select scenes.

In “Sleepy Hollow”, the audience is invited to participate in solving the mystery surrounding the ghost of the headless horseman. Participants will join Ichabod Crane on his quest to uncover the truth behind the ghost in this exciting and immersive experience that blends Washington Irving's classic tale with Dutch history.

The project is currently in development, with the first test rounds planned for September of this year. The goal of the project is to merge history, technology, and storytelling to create an unforgettable experience that transports audiences to another time and place. The first real shows are planned to debut next year.
