Purpose and lawful basis for processing

Our purpose for processing your personal data is to provide you with information on our activities and to let you know about upcoming projects and events. The lawful basis we rely on for the processing is either your consent or our legitimate interest.

What data do we use?

In order to send you our newsletter(s) we need your e-mail address and, for certain newsletters, your name. Optionally you can also provide us with information about the post you occupy and your organisation.

How do we collect your data?

We collect the data from you either when you subscribe to the newsletter(s) or when you give your contact details to a Studio VRij representative in the context of Studio VRij’s activities, for example, at an event organised by Studio VRij.

How do we use your data?

We use your data to send you our newsletter(s). We also gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.

How long we keep your data?

We keep your data for the purpose of sending you our newsletter(s) for as long as you have not withdrawn your consent or objected to such processing of your data.

What are your rights?

Where we rely on your consent to our processing your personal data for sending you the newsletter(s), you have the right to withdraw your consent. Where we rely on our legitimate interest, you can object to the processing of your personal data for this purpose at any time. If at any point you want to withdraw your consent or object to the processing, depending on the type of newsletter, you should either follow the link by clicking the “unsubscribe” button or send us an email. If you do that, we will update our records immediately to reflect your wishes.

Do we use any data processors?

As a general rule, we use Mailchimp to send our newsletters. You can find Mailchimp's privacy policy here.
Certain services and programmes of Studio VRij may use other data processors for sending the newsletters. Where this is the case, a link to the corresponding privacy policy will be provided to you in the newsletter.

No personal data of subscribers to our newsletters is shared between the processors.

How can you complain?

If you have any complaints or queries with regard to the way we process your personal data, you can contact us at info@studio-vrij.com.
